I’m starting our Hello ’22 edition by wishing everyone a Happy New Year! We should steer our work carefully from the beginning of the year 2022 because for the last two years our world has not been good.

But Bangladesh was utterly different from other countries. So I have put my lens on some crucial sectors like education, health, women and children affairs, digitalization, food security and agriculture, migration, UN peacekeeping mission, power and energy, social security, land management, and more importantly, the economy of Bangladesh. According to my research, Bangladesh has successfully improved in almost all the indexes.

Nobel Laureate Professor Amartya Kumar Sen support me through his statement. He remarked that Bangladesh has astonished the world with the level of progress it has achieved in certain areas, especially in education, women empowerment, reducing birth and maternal and infant mortality rates, health care and sanitation facilities for marginalized people, and immunization coverage among children.

According to the World Bank, Bangladesh is today the 41st largest economy globally in terms of GDP. The per capita income of Bangladesh in 2020 was 1989 US dollars. It is noteworthy that the per capita income of Bangladesh has increased to 2227 US dollars in the fiscal year 2020-21. In addition, according to the IMF estimates, Bangladesh’s GDP in 2026 will be 561.16 billion US dollars, which will make Bangladesh a more economically powerful country.

As a witness to this development process, in this special edition, we have presented 22 prominent people who are representing Bangladesh gloriously in the world arena through their magnificent work. They exchanged greetings with the people of the world, including Bangladesh, through your beloved business magazine, The InCAP.

We have decorated the departing year through a month-based album style; I hope you love it. Our InCAP Ranking section has gained a lot of reader popularity over the last few years. We are also improving every day by capitalizing on your love and trust. In its continuation, this time, we have published our InCAP Ranking in two categories: 10 Most Influential Economists of 2021 and Top 10 CEOs in The World 2021 – For Startups. In this case, I would like to give special thanks to the analytical team of the International Corporate Association of Professionals (InCAP), because without their direct assistance, such a huge task could not have been done properly.
