Ms. Neha Tasmin, please share your professional and academic peregrination for our readers!

Hello readers! It’s a pleasure to share my professional and academic journey with you. My educational voyage began with my SSC from Mohammadpur Preparatory and HSC from BAF Shaheen College. Continuing on, I pursued my undergraduate studies at Coventry University in London, where I specialized in Global Business Management. This foundation has provided me with a solid understanding of international business dynamics, preparing me for the professional challenges ahead. I’m excited to delve into my experiences and insights with you!

As an IT Sales Executive at Kolpolok Limited, what inspired you to pursue a career in sales within the technology sector, and how does your role contribute to the company’s overall growth strategy?

Imagine being in bustling London, with dreams of joining British Telecommunications (BT) as a management consultant. I was all in, reaching out to their HR department, polishing my CV, and gearing up with the skills they required. It was an exciting journey, one filled with anticipation and hope for what lay ahead.

But life sometimes has other plans, doesn’t it? Family matters called me back to Bangladesh, shifting my focus from BT to the vibrant IT scene back home. It wasn’t the path I initially envisioned, but sometimes detours lead to unexpected treasures.

Back in Bangladesh, armed with the sales savvy I picked up in London, I dove headfirst into the world of IT firms. That’s when Kolpolok Limited caught my eye, offering a perfect fit for my skills and ambitions as an IT Sales Executive.

Fast forward to today, and I’m right in the thick of it at Kolpolok, contributing my part to the company’s growth story. My days are spent engaging with clients, listening intently to their needs, and crafting tailor-made solutions that align perfectly with their goals.

It’s not just about making sales; it’s about building relationships that last. I take pride in the connections I’ve forged, knowing that each one is a step forward in Kolpolok’s journey towards success.

In the competitive landscape of IT sales, how do you differentiate Kolpolok’s products or services and effectively communicate their value proposition to potential clients?

Balancing the need for meeting sales targets with maintaining strong client relationships can be challenging. How do you prioritize customer retention and satisfaction in your sales approach at Kolpolok Limited?

Answer: In the bustling world of sales, I’ve learned that it’s not just about closing deals; it’s about forging lasting connections. At the core of my approach lies a deep commitment to putting the customer first, turning every interaction into an opportunity to build enduring partnerships.

So, how do I do it? Well, it all starts with listening. I make it a point to really hear what our clients have to say – their needs, their concerns, their feedback. Because only by truly understanding where they’re coming from can I tailor our solutions to perfectly fit their goals.

But it’s not just about what we can offer; it’s about being honest and transparent every step of the way. Trust is everything in this business, so I believe in laying all our cards on the table – our capabilities, our costs, our timelines. It’s about building credibility and fostering trust from the get-go.

Of course, communication is key. I make sure to keep those lines wide open, seeking feedback to continuously improve our services, addressing any questions or concerns swiftly, and keeping our clients in the loop with regular updates on their projects.

But here’s where we really stand out – it’s the little extras we do that make all the difference. Whether it’s offering personalized advice, lending a hand with technical support, or providing extra training sessions, we’re always looking for ways to exceed our clients’ expectations.

And it doesn’t end when the sale is made. Nope, we’re in it for the long haul, ensuring our clients continue to receive the support they need even after the project is wrapped up. Because at the end of the day, our success is measured by theirs, and that’s a commitment we take seriously.

Beyond your professional responsibilities, what personal qualities or experiences do you believe contribute to your success as an IT Sales Executive, and how do you leverage them in your role?

As an IT Sales Executive, I’ve come to realize that success isn’t just about mastering the technical aspects of the job; it’s about tapping into personal qualities and experiences that truly make a difference.

For me, communication is key. I’ve always had a knack for connecting with people, for really listening to their needs and concerns, and then finding the right words to address them. Whether it’s chatting with a client about their latest project or collaborating with colleagues to brainstorm solutions, my ability to communicate effectively has been a cornerstone of my success.

But it doesn’t stop there. Another strength of mine is my knack for foreseeing problems before they even arise. Call it intuition or just a keen eye for detail, but I have a knack for spotting potential roadblocks and coming up with creative solutions to overcome them. This ability to anticipate challenges has been invaluable in my role, helping me navigate tricky situations with confidence and ease.

And of course, staying on top of the latest technical trends is crucial in the ever-evolving world of IT sales. I make it a priority to empower my technical knowledge, keeping myself up to date on the latest developments and advancements in the field. Whether it’s attending workshops, reading industry publications, or participating in online forums, I’m always seeking out opportunities to enhance my skills and stay ahead of the curve.

In the end, it’s this combination of communication skills, problem-solving abilities, and technical expertise that has enabled me to excel as an IT Sales Executive. And while the journey may have its challenges, it’s the opportunity to leverage these strengths that makes every day in this role both rewarding and fulfilling.

Outside of your work with Kolpolok Limited, do you engage in any personal interests or hobbies that enhance your sales skills or perspective?

Outside of my work at Kolpolok Limited, one of my greatest joys is engaging in meaningful conversations with a diverse array of people. Whether it’s chatting with friends over coffee or striking up conversations with strangers on the coffee shop, I’m always eager to connect and exchange ideas on a wide range of topics.

For me, every interaction is an opportunity to learn something new. I thrive on gathering knowledge from others – their experiences, perspectives, and insights. Whether it’s discussing the latest trends in technology, sharing stories from travels around the world, or debating the merits of a favorite book or movie, I’m constantly expanding my horizons through the diverse perspectives of those around me.

This passion for communication and connection extends beyond casual conversations; it also shapes my approach to sales. I’ve found that the ability to engage with people from all walks of life, to listen intently to their needs and concerns, and to find common ground, is invaluable in building strong relationships with clients. By drawing on the wealth of knowledge and experiences gained through my interactions with others, I bring a unique perspective and depth to my role as a sales professional.

In essence, my love for connecting with people and gathering knowledge fuels not only my personal growth but also enhances my effectiveness in the world of sales. It’s a reminder that the art of communication isn’t just a skill – it’s a way of life that enriches every aspect of my journey, both professionally and personally.

The most outstanding achievement of your life as of now:

If you ask me about the most outstanding achievement of my life, it’s not about personal accolades or professional milestones. It’s about something much deeper – the ability to provide for my mother, to ensure she has everything she needs. Taking on the responsibility of supporting my family at a young age has been my greatest source of pride. While some may overlook the significance of this role, I find immense fulfillment in being able to care for those I love.

On the professional front, receiving the Best Performer award at my current workplace stands out as a milestone. It’s a validation of the hard work and dedication I’ve poured into my role, and a reminder of the impact that commitment can have. But beyond the recognition, what truly matters to me is the opportunity to make a meaningful contribution to my team and organization, each day striving to exceed expectations and drive positive change.

In both my personal and professional achievements, it’s the sense of purpose and fulfillment that fuels my journey, propelling me forward with determination and gratitude.

The greatest philosopher in your view:

You know, when it comes to philosophy, there’s one figure who really stands out to me – Socrates. Now, I’m no expert, but there’s something about his approach to questioning and seeking truth that just speaks to me.

Socrates was this ancient Greek dude who lived way back in Athens, like, ages ago. But his ideas are still super relevant today. He was all about asking the tough questions, challenging the status quo, and encouraging people to really think for themselves.

What I love most about Socrates is his Socratic method – basically, he’d ask a bunch of questions until people realized they didn’t actually know as much as they thought they did. It’s like he was all about that lightbulb moment, you know?

And even though he never actually wrote anything down himself (shoutout to his buddy Plato for that), his teachings have had a huge impact on Western philosophy. I mean, we’re talking centuries of thinkers being influenced by this guy.

But beyond all the intellectual stuff, what I really admire about Socrates is his commitment to truth and integrity. He wasn’t afraid to speak his mind, even if it got him into trouble (spoiler alert: it did).

So yeah, when I think about philosophy and all that deep stuff, Socrates is definitely the first person who comes to mind. He’s like the OG philosopher, dropping truth bombs and making us all think a little bit harder about life.

Your Icon:

You know, when I think about someone who’s managed to balance a successful career with a strong commitment to family, one name immediately comes to mind – Indra Nooyi.

Indra’s story is nothing short of inspiring. From her early days in India to becoming the CEO of PepsiCo, she’s shown that with hard work and determination, anything is possible.

But what really resonates with me is how she never lost sight of her family values, even as she climbed the corporate ladder. Despite the demands of her job, she always made time for her loved ones, emphasizing the importance of maintaining that balance between work and family.

As someone who’s driven by my career ambitions but also deeply committed to my family, I find Indra’s journey incredibly relatable. She’s proof that you can pursue your dreams without sacrificing the things that matter most to you.

So yeah, Indra Nooyi is definitely someone I look up to – not just for her professional achievements, but for the way she’s managed to stay grounded and true to herself through it all.

Name the most influential books you have read:

I’d say the most influential books I’ve read have been “Lean In” by Sheryl Sandberg and “The 7 Habits of Highly Effective People” by Stephen R. Covey.

“Lean In” had a profound impact on me because it opened my eyes to the challenges and opportunities that women face in the workplace. Sheryl Sandberg’s insights on leadership, ambition, and the importance of leaning into our careers really struck a chord with me, especially as I navigate my own professional journey.

On the other hand, “The 7 Habits of Highly Effective People” was a game-changer in terms of personal development. Stephen Covey’s timeless principles on productivity, leadership, and interpersonal effectiveness have helped me become more proactive, focused, and empathetic in both my professional and personal life.

These books have not only expanded my knowledge and perspective but have also inspired me to strive for continuous growth and excellence in everything I do.

Best piece of advice you’ve received:

The best piece of advice I’ve received came from my father, and it’s something that has stuck with me through thick and thin: “Embrace the journey, not just the destination.”

It’s so easy to get caught up in chasing goals, ticking off boxes, and racing towards the next milestone. But my father’s wisdom reminds me to slow down, take a breath, and savor every moment along the way.

Life isn’t just about reaching the finish line; it’s about the experiences we gather, the lessons we learn, and the connections we make along the way. So, I strive to embrace each day with gratitude, to find joy in the little things, and to cherish the journey – bumps, detours, and all.
