That The InCAP is going to publish a special edition exclusively designed for Bangladesh as a part of its New Year campaign Hello ’22 gives me immense pleasure.
As I’m typing this message on the eve of the 50th anniversary of the Independence of Bangladesh, I’d like to convey my warmest greetings on this glorious occasion to my fellow countrymen at home and abroad along with the worldwide readers of The InCAP. At the same time, I feel obliged to commemorate the Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman and all the valiant martyrs and freedom fighters who gifted us with a map of our own. And, of course, I wish all the readers of The InCAP a very happy and prosperous new year in 2022.
While the world economy is still at a reconstructing stage amidst the ups and downs of the Covid-19 pandemic, I feel really confident as a Bangladeshi at the arrival of 2022. Actually, this confidence is bestowed by the wise and visionary steps taken by the honorable Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina and her Government to face the pandemic affected economic situation. The financial incentives and stimulus packages offered to the industrial sector have helped the sustainability of the national economy to a great extent.
I’d next like to express my heart-felt gratitude towards my fellow bankers, the unsung heroes, who have risked their lives, even at the most disastrous times, in executing the government initiatives to mobilize the economy of the country. I’d like to commemorate the financial soldiers who got affected by Covid-19 and sacrificed their lives while serving the economy. I express my heartiest condolences to their families for the immeasurable losses they have suffered.
