Joining my family business in 2010, I embarked on a comprehensive learning experience from every member of our organization. My approach was to grasp the intricacies of our operations in real estate, a realm where I have the privilege to envision and construct dreams. Despite the fluctuations in the real estate market, our unwavering commitment revolves around timely deliveries, maintaining quality, and fulfilling our commitments.

Beyond my professional commitments, I have a keen interest in staying informed about emerging trends. I nurture a daily eagerness to learn, consistently network with like-minded individuals, and remain dedicated to keeping pace with industry advancements, recognizing these as key elements that contribute to our growth.

Can you share some specific examples of how your passion for transforming spaces has influenced the success of Purti Realty’s projects?

When we embark on the journey of building homes, we recognize the profound importance of those spaces for the people who will call them home. As a company, our approach to design and construction is unique – we envision ourselves as the end users. This perspective fuels our passion, excitement, and commitment to go the extra mile. Every space within a home has a purpose, and our goal is to make it efficient, practical, and truly exhilarating for the residents.

For instance, take our latest project, Varanda, located on Jessore Road Laketown Crossing. Understanding that our residents primarily consist of joint families seeking an upgraded lifestyle while staying rooted in tradition, we placed great importance on Varandas. We acknowledge that these spaces hold diverse significance for different generations within a family – from a grandmother making her grandchild’s favorite pickle to a grandfather basking in the sun, parents spending quality time, and kids playing and interacting with neighbors.

In another venture, Meraki, our focus was on a niche crowd. We delved into understanding how this specific demographic likes to rejuvenate. Meraki was developed based on these ethos, with the sole purpose of allowing its residents to live anew. Each project is a testament to our commitment to understanding the unique needs and aspirations of our residents, ensuring that our homes are not just spaces but vibrant and purposeful environments that enhance their lives.

How do you stay updated on the latest market trends in the real estate sector, and how has this knowledge contributed to the company’s strategic decisions?

Remaining abreast of the latest market trends in the real estate sector is paramount for making well-informed decisions. Today, understanding what customers will need in the next five years is crucial. We actively engage with our customers, observing their behavior and preferences, and discerning how they intend to allocate their resources. By gauging trends in lifestyle, habits, and spending patterns, we gain valuable insights into anticipating future customer needs. This information not only enhances our marketing strategies but also informs our approach to meeting the evolving lifestyle and home requirements of our customers.

We believe in a multifaceted approach to staying informed. Regular interactions with customers, coupled with insights from webinars and conferences focused on real estate trends, hospitality, travel, or lifestyle, provide us with a wealth of data. This collaborative effort ensures that we are equipped with the knowledge needed to adapt and innovate in an ever-evolving market.

I firmly believe that every member of our organization plays a unique and crucial role, and when honesty, transparency, and approachability prevail, the organization functions like a well-oiled machine. At our core, we emphasize clear communication of objectives and targets, ensuring that each team member comprehends their role in contributing to our intended growth. This clarity facilitates free-flowing information, creating an environment where team members feel at ease expressing their thoughts and ideas.

Every project we undertake carries a unique story, and we take immense pride in each one. With every project, there comes a learning experience that contributes to our continuous growth. It’s challenging to pinpoint a singular achievement, but when we engage with the residents of our completed projects, we realize the profound impact we have in delivering happiness while pursuing our passion.

If I were to highlight one project, it would be Purti Flowers. This marked our first venture into high-rise construction, a significant milestone that not only instilled confidence in us to reach greater heights but also provided crucial insights into how retail and residential components can harmoniously complement each other. Purti Flowers stands as a testament to our journey of exploration, learning, and the joy we derive from creating spaces that enhance the lives of those who call them home.

Can you share a specific instance where your strategic vision played a pivotal role in overcoming a challenge or seizing an opportunity in the real estate market?

As an organization, every strategic decision is a collaborative effort, necessitating the support and backing of other leaders. These decisions cannot be impulsive; rather, they must be grounded in facts, data, and past experiences. During the challenging period of 2014-15 for the real estate sector, just before the implementation of RERA when trust in builders was at a low, we made a conscious decision to elevate our standards. We committed to delivering projects much ahead of schedule, surpassing our own previous records of on time delivery, and simultaneously exceeding the promised deliverables.

This strategic decision has played a pivotal role in shaping our identity today. We recognized that people were investing their life savings, and by making them feel special, heard, and delivering ahead of schedule, they could directly or indirectly benefit. For instance, those living in rented spaces could move in faster, and families in need of extra space could have it sooner than anticipated. This approach was not just about meeting expectations but about surpassing them and making a positive impact on the lives of those who entrust us with their dreams and investments.

Networking has proven to be a valuable avenue for gaining insightful perspectives not only about our products but also about our customers and even ourselves. One noteworthy instance revolves around the realization, through networking, that there was a demand for weekend getaways in our region and limited options available. This revelation set a series of actions into motion, leading to a partnership with Marriott for our upcoming resort project near Kolkata. The power of networking not only broadened our understanding of customer needs but also facilitated a strategic collaboration that aligned with those identified needs.
