Bangladesh Reports One Additional Covid-19-Related Fatality and 66 New Cases in 24 Hours

Bangladesh has recorded an additional death and 66 fresh cases related to Covid-19 within a span of 24 hours, as reported by the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS).

Bangladesh has recorded an additional death and 66 fresh cases related to Covid-19 within a span of 24 hours, as reported by the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS). With these newly reported numbers, the total fatalities in the country have reached 29,463, while the overall caseload has risen to 2,043,288. The daily case test positivity rate has increased to 4.42 percent compared to the previous day’s 3.88 percent, based on the testing of 1,198 samples. Despite these changes, the death rate remains at 1.44 percent, and the recovery rate stands at 98.38 percent, according to the DGHS. It is worth mentioning that Bangladesh witnessed its highest daily caseload of 16,230 on July 28, 2021, and the highest number of fatalities, totaling 264, on August 10 of the same year.
