Sharfaraz Mehedi Anwar, affectionately known as Upol, stands as a remarkable blend of visionary leadership and entrepreneurial acumen. Currently serving as the Chairman of Healthcare Solutions Ltd., Co-Founder of Crimson Cup BD, and Director of the globally renowned Lyric Group, Upol’s professional journey reflects innovation and dedication. His expertise spans industries from healthcare to garment exports, with Lyric Group’s footprint reaching the USA, Canada, Europe, and beyond.
An exceptional academic achiever, Upol earned his MBA from Independent University Bangladesh (IUB) and a BBA from North South University. His scholastic excellence shone early, securing 20th place in the combined merit list of Dhaka Board in HSC (1993) from Adamjee Cantonment College.
Honoring the distinguished legacy of his father, the legendary lyricist, film producer, and director Gazi Mazharul Anwar (22 February 1943 – 4 September 2022), Mr. Upol continues to build a reputation defined by creativity, strategic thinking, and impactful contributions to the business world.
