BRAC University’s Counseling Unit is proud to announce two “Mental Health Awareness Campaigns” on Monday, 24th July 2023, at the Residential Campus in Anandapur from 02:30 pm to 06:30 pm, and on Sunday, 30th July 2023, at the Mohakhali Campus in BRACU Auditorium UB 02 from 10:30 am to 03:00 pm.
The campaigns aim to address the critical issue of mental health and promote awareness while eliminating the stigma associated with mental well-being. These events are open to all students, faculty members, and staff of BRAC University.
Objectives of the Campaigns
- Creating Awareness on Mental Health: The campaigns seek to raise awareness about mental health, its significance, and the importance of seeking support when needed.
- Eradicating Stigma: By fostering open discussions and interactive sessions, the campaigns aim to dismantle the stigma surrounding mental health issues, encouraging a more compassionate and understanding environment.
- Promoting Psychological Tools for Self and Collective Care: Participants will have the opportunity to explore and apply various self-help tools that contribute to improved mental well-being for individuals and the university community as a whole.
- Introduction to BRAC University’s Counseling Unit: The campaigns will serve as an introduction to the Counseling Unit, showcasing the resources and services available to students, faculty, and staff.
