A very Happy New Year from me and Southeast University (SEU) family!

May the new year bring us all closer to our own goals! Also, I am optimistic that we will also find a year of peace that will allow us all to grow in every meaningful way.

As a member of the University family, our goal is to provide an excellent modern education for students to equip them with the skill and knowledge necessary to lead the country in its quest for development. Alongside, our ultimate mission is to provide higher education at an affordable cost, keeping in view the economic conditions of the middle and lower-middle-income families in Bangladesh to impart world-class education. Furthermore, we aim to provide research facilities to develop their full intellectual, social, and personal potentials, skills, and abilities to transform human resources into human capital and inculcate moral and ethical values among students. We fix up our goal to prepare our students to meet the challenges of the 21st century.

The global pandemic has changed the circumstances a lot. It has impacted the educational systems worldwide. For fear of the further spread of diseases, most educational institutions have postponed their face-to-face teaching. The moment was very challenging.

Now, things are recovering. The government considered reopening educational institutions in phases, with universities set to be the first to resume in-person classes amid the Covid-19 pandemic. As many university teachers and students have either been fully vaccinated or will get both doses of the Covid-19 vaccine soon, in-person courses will begin in universities first.

I am thankful to the Prime Minister for taking the fast initiative to reopen educational institutions. The institutions are reopening one by one from last September. I am glad we are getting our new normal days back.

I hope we will be more careful than before and will always be eager to learn better to enjoy the exceptional environment in which we work and live and that we appreciate, nurture and protect it even more than we already do! Our campus is a very special place, and it is a beautiful gift that we already have, a gift that renews itself each day!

I wish the international business magazine The InCAP great success!

May 2022 be a happy year for all of us!
