Mr. Syed Adnan Karim: After completing my O & A-levels from Maple Leaf International School, I pursued my major in marketing at North South University, where I deepened my knowledge and expertise in the field. My entrepreneurial journey commenced in 2019 when I embarked on a venture close to my heart – Carnival. It was founded with the vision of revolutionizing the concept of low-scale birthday events and party supplies by introducing global standards of quality and creativity. Fast forwarding to 2021, I was appointed to co-found a marketing venture, Digitomark Limited.
Digitomark is a marketing firm which strives to provide startups/established brands with the tools and insights necessary to navigate the digital landscape, build a strong brand identity, and harness the potential of online marketing channels.
Could you please provide an overview of your role as the COO at Digitomark and explain its impact on your company’s operations?
As a Chief Operating Officer at Digitomark, I did not bound myself with specific tasks. In a startup company, it’s essential not to confine individuals to specific job roles; instead, we must maintain the flexibility to operate in various capacities as needed. Hence, whenever troubleshooting is necessary, I am there!
What are the core values and principles that guide your decision-making as the COO?
My decision-making is usually guided by a set of core values and principles that underpin effective leadership. I mostly try to prioritize innovation to keep our operations agile and competitive. I believe it is always important to acknowledge the weaknesses within us in order to come up with ideas and innovations to overcome it. If we believe we are the best, we don’t have any room for improvements. Thus, I tend to make spontaneous decisions, primarily focused on resolving the issue at hand.
How do you foster a culture of collaboration and productivity within your teams at Digitomark?
We ensure that everyone understands our common goals and the value of their individual contributions. Feedback is actively sought and used for improvement, and we maintain a culture of learning from both successes and setbacks. By promoting diversity and inclusion and offering a flexible work environment, we create a space where every team member feels valued, motivated, and empowered to excel together.
Can you discuss any recent partnerships or initiatives that have expanded Digitomark’s reach or services?
We have established strategic partnerships with some of the top agencies in Bangladesh, fostering collaboration on diverse projects. Our portfolio includes collaborations with prominent real estate giants such as Runner Properties, Rancon Developments, Sheltech Pvt Ltd, Anwar Landmark, and many others. Additionally, we take pride in supporting numerous startups in crafting their unique brand identities, managing their social media platforms, and devising innovative marketing strategies to drive their business growth. These partnerships and diverse project engagements reflect our commitment to delivering exceptional results and contributing to the success of our valued clients across various industries.
