The Oscar Bangladesh Committee has asked to join the country’s filmmakers to introduce their films to the contest at the 95th Oscars. Movies that will be shortlisted from the submissions will compete in the Best International Feature Film. Any full-length Bangladeshi film with English subtitles, screened for seven consecutive days in theatres, is eligible for the competition. An eight-member committee has been formed with film personality Habibur Rahman Khan as the Chairman. The committee is an initiative of the Bangladesh Federation of Film Societies to nominate Bangladeshi films in the Best International Feature Film category of the Oscars. The Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences will host the 95th Oscars on March 12, 2023. The awards will be presented at the Dolby Theatre in Los Angeles, California, in 24 categories.
