Indian High Commissioner to Dhaka, Vikram K Doraiswami, has expressed hope that trade relations between Bangladesh and India will further expand. He said the State Bank of India (SBI) was working to boost trade and economic ties between the two countries. Mr. Doraiswami inaugurated the new building of the State Bank of India’s Dhaka branch at Gulshan-2. From now on, SBI’s Dhaka branch will operate at Anabil Tower on Kamal Ataturk Avenue. However, 30 June 2022 was the 7th founding anniversary of SBI. Hence, Bangladesh-India Trade Expected To Increase.
He said SBI is essential in expanding trade and investment between Bangladesh and India. The bank is also doing well in opening bonds for trade between the two countries. SBI has more than 10,000 customers in Bangladesh. He inaugurated the new building by cutting the ribbon and unveiling the plaque. Country Head of SBI Bangladesh Operations Prakash Chanda Sabu was present as well.
