Bank Asia Limited has signed an agreement with Grameenphone (GP) to appoint the telco retailers as the bank’s Micro-merchants aiming to reach banking services at the doorstep of grassroot people and to strengthen its financial inclusion drive to make a cash-less economy.
In presence of Mr. Adil Chowdhury, President & Managing Director of Bank Asia, Mr. Ziaul Hasan, Deputy Managing Director of the bank and Ms. Rasheda Sultana, Deputy Director & Head of Financial Services of Grameenphone signed the agreement on behalf of their respective organizations.
Mr. Shafiuzzaman and Mr. ANM Mahfuz, Additional Managing Directors, Mr. Md. Sazzad Hossain, Deputy Managing Director of Bank Asia, Mr. Md. Najmul Ahasan Prince, Deputy General Manager of Financial Services, Mr. Fazle Abed, Lead Specialist of Financial Services and Mr. Mohammad Rezwan Ullah, Head of Financial Regulations and Strategic Relations Treasury of Grameenphone were present at the signing ceremony held at Bank Asia Tower, Karwan Bazar, Dhaka on 31 May, 2023.
