In June 2022, the Bangladesh Association of Software and Information Services (BASIS) plans to conduct a unique event in London to promote Bangladesh’s ICT business in the UK. So, BASIS To Promote Bangladesh’s ICT Industry In Abroad.
BASIS President Russell T. Ahmed recently met with Bangladesh High Commissioner to the United Kingdom Saida Muna Tasneem at the Bangladesh High Commission in London. According to Mr. Ahmed, BASIS is collaborating with the government to achieve its objective of $5 billion in ICT exports by 2024 and $20 billion by 2031.
“In this regard, the UK is one of the most potential markets for exporters in the Bangladesh ICT sector,” he added. Tasneem indicated an interest in assisting Bangladesh’s ICT business. She expressed an interest in assisting BASIS in organizing an event in London in June to promote the sector in the United Kingdom. She also wants to help organize Business-to-Business (B2B) matching sessions between Bangladeshi ICT firms and their British counterparts.
