Biman Bangladesh Airlines Expands Connectivity with Direct Dhaka-Chennai Flight

Biman Bangladesh Airlines, the national flag carrier, proudly announces the commencement of its direct flight service on the Dhaka-Chennai-Dhaka route, further enhancing air travel connectivity between Bangladesh and India.

The inaugural flight, BG363, marked the historic launch, taking off from Dhaka at 12:50 pm and smoothly touching down in Chennai at 3:20 pm local time. The esteemed Md Mahbub Ali, State Minister of Civil Aviation and Tourism, officially inaugurated the route through a video message at Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport.

Operated by the reliable Boeing 737-800 aircraft, these flights are strategically scheduled to meet the specific demands of Bangladeshis traveling for medical and business purposes. Recognizing the importance of this route, Biman’s Managing Director and CEO, Shafiul Azim, expressed his commitment to meeting passenger demand by increasing the frequency of flights.

Flight Schedule:

BG363: Departs Dhaka at 12:50 pm every Saturday, Monday, and Thursday.

BG364: Leaves Chennai at 4:15 pm local time, landing in Dhaka at 7:30 pm.

To ensure seamless access to tickets, passengers can conveniently make purchases through Biman’s commercial website, mobile apps, sales centers, call centers, and authorized travel agencies.

Prominent dignitaries, including Indian High Commissioner Pranay Kumar Verma, Biman Board Chairman Mostafa Kamal Uddin, and Secretary of Civil Aviation and Tourism Ministry Mokammel Hossain, graced the inaugural event with their presence, highlighting the significance of this new air corridor.
