The Canadian government is giving up certain working hours to international students studying in Canada. Recently, the country’s Immigration Minister Sean Fraser announced this. Until now, international students in Canada had the opportunity to work 20 hours a week. So, Canada Lifted Limit on Working Hours For International Students.

According to the new rules, post-secondary students will get the opportunity to work as they wish from November 15 this year. Initially, it will be effective till December 31, 2023. According to the National Statistics Office of Canada, in 2021, 621,565 international students held study permits for different study levels. The number of international students in Canada enrolled in higher education only is currently 388,782 students.

As of 2022, the total number of international students in all education levels in Canada is 621,565 study permit holders, including higher education.
