The Foundation for Youth Development (FYD) successfully held its Annual General Meeting (AGM) on Saturday, June 28, 2025. The gathering brought together active members, advisors, youth leaders, and key stakeholders to reflect on the organization’s achievements, ratify structural and constitutional updates, and outline strategic priorities for the years ahead.
The meeting was presided over by Mr. Habibur Rahman Habib, a respected member of the FYD Executive Council, and conducted by Mr. Mirza Rakib Hasan Shovon, the esteemed Founder and General Secretary of FYD.
Agenda Highlights
The following key agenda items were discussed and unanimously approved by the members present:
- Welcome address by the Chair and General Secretary
- Presentation and ratification of the updated FYD Constitution
- Introduction and approval of the new organizational structure (organogram)
- Presentation of the financial report for the fiscal year 2024–2025
- Discussion on expanding general membership
- Formation and approval of the FYD Advisory Council
- Formation of a 5-member Election Commission in accordance with the Constitution
- Election and formal approval of the new Executive Committee
- Open discussion and suggestions from members
- Concluding remarks and vote of thanks
Formation of the FYD Advisory Council
To strengthen governance and provide strategic direction, FYD has formed an Advisory Council comprised of the following distinguished individuals:
