Dhaka, January 1, 2025 – The Institute of Internal Auditors Bangladesh (IIAB) successfully held its Annual General Meeting (AGM) on Monday, December 30, 2024, at its headquarters in Niketon, Dhaka. During the AGM, in accordance with the Institute’s Articles of Association, 10 members were elected to the Board of Governors (BOG) for the year 2025.
M. Nurul Alam, FCS, CCEP-I, CGIA, has been elected as the President of IIAB. Supporting the leadership team, Ms. Nausheen Ahmed, CIA, CRMA, CISA, has assumed the role of Secretary General, while Mr. Tahsinur Rahim, CIA, CRMA, has been appointed as Treasurer.
Further strengthening the governance structure, Mr. Nanda Dulal Saha, FCA, and Mr. Amitava Saha, CGIA, have been named Vice Presidents of the Institute. The newly elected BOG members also include Mr. Adil Iftekhar, CIA, CISA; Mr. Tabarak Hossain, FCCA, CIA, CRMA; Mr. Shatil Sharker, CIA; and Mr. Raqib Al Rashid, CIA.
This dynamic leadership team is expected to bring innovative perspectives and drive key initiatives to elevate the internal auditing profession in Bangladesh.

Founded in 2004 with official affiliation to the global Institute of Internal Auditors (IIA Global), IIAB has been at the forefront of advancing the internal auditing profession in Bangladesh. The organization gained formal incorporation and government licensing in 2016, marking a significant milestone in its journey.
As of October 2024, IIAB proudly supports a membership base of 535, including 46 Certified Internal Auditors (CIAs). The Institute remains committed to fostering excellence, promoting innovation, and upholding global standards in internal auditing.
