LinkedIn is launching a new events platform that will allow users to post, host, and promote interactive, virtual live events. It will begin with an audio-only product, which was released in beta version in January, followed by a video in the spring. The article is about LinkedIn To Update New Virtual Platform.
With its ‘Events Hub’ launch in 2019, LinkedIn began exploring events. For example, as more individuals began working from home, the company implemented online polls and video events to allow remote workers to participate in activities.
Individual artists who already use LinkedIn to engage with a larger audience and cover issues like career development and recruitment will be the first to benefit from the platform.
In an interview, Jake Poses, a product manager at LinkedIn, elaborated on its concept regarding its new virtual event platform for audio and video.” He explained, “Our attitude is to give control to the organizers. We want to make hosting virtual round tables, fireside chats, and other events easier. Some people may prefer a more formal or less formal event. Some people may want to interact with their audience and take questions from the floor. Interactivity and support are provided to professionals.”
