Recently, officials said the airline operated a flight from Riyadh, the capital of Saudi Arabia, to Jeddah, a city on the Red Sea coast. The total number of crew on the Flyadel flight was seven. Most of them were Saudi women. However, the captain of the flight was a foreign woman too.

For example, officials are pushing to develop the country’s aviation sector to make Saudi the heart of global travel. Saudi Arabia aims to triple its annual passenger traffic to 33 million at the end of this decade. In addition, the country has set a target of attracting 10 trillion dollars of investment in the sector by 2030. There are also plans to launch a new state-owned airline and build a new mega-airport in Riyadh’s capital.
