Vince McMahon announced that he is retiring as Chairman and CEO of World Wrestling Entertainment, the world’s largest professional wrestling company. Mr. McMahon is currently the subject of an investigation by the WWE Board of Directors after allegedly spending about $12m on former employees to keep affairs. So, Vince McMahon Retired From WWE.
With Mr. McMahon retiring, Stephanie McMahon and Nick Khan now serve as co-CEOs. Vince McMahon had responsible for CEO of WWE since 2009 when his wife Linda McMahon resigned from the position to pursue political office. In the meantime, Stephanie McMahon was involved with the WWE as both on-air talent and recently serving as the WWE’s Chief Brand Officer.
Mr. Vince stated, “As I approach 77, I feel it’s time to retire as Chairman and CEO of WWE. Over the years, it’s been a privilege to help WWE bring you joy, inspire, thrill, surprise, and always entertain you. Finally, I hold the deepest appreciation and admiration for our generations of fans worldwide who have liked, currently like, and sometimes even love our form of Sports Entertainment.”
