Evercare Hospital Chattogram, Bangladesh, on January 13, 2021, launched a new Center of Excellence for Diabetic Care & Endocrine Diseases, intending to provide improved specialized care to patients who have diabetes and endocrine-related diseases. For making the world disease-free, Evercare Hospital Chattogram launches diabetic center & endocrine DCS. The center comprises six separate clinics: Diabetes Wellness, Obesity, Lipid, Pregnancy Diabetes & Hormone, Thyroid, and Growth & Puberty.
At the center, patients can primarily avail services for treating diabetes and diabetes-related complications and endocrine-associated diseases, such as goiter. Services for hormonal difficulties relating to pregnancy and consultations and treatments for diabetic women wishing to conceive are also available at the center. Furthermore, services are available for obesity, weight gain, premature/late puberty, and puberty-related height issues.
The Center of Excellence for Diabetic Care & Endocrine Diseases operations will be led by Dr. Mohammad Mahmudul Kabir, who also serves as the Associate Consultant in the Diabetology & Endocrinology department at the hospital.
Dr. Mohammad Mahmudul Kabir MBBS, MD (Endocrinology) MCPS (Medicine), said, “Thousands of deaths occur annually in Bangladesh due to endocrine diseases, and diabetes is also becoming a prevalent issue amongst the country’s population. However, many people are still unaware of the importance of maintaining endocrine health. By keeping this in mind, it is an absolute honor for me to head this center which will provide essential services to the people of Chattogram.”
