Standard Chartered Bank Recognized as the Best International Bank in Bangladesh

Standard Chartered Bank has recently been recognized as the best international bank in Bangladesh at the Asiamoney Awards-2021.

A committee of senior journalists at the Hong Kong-based Asiamoney Awards and their editorial committee praised Standard Chartered as a role model for other foreign banks in Bangladesh based on research.

Standard Chartered has already invested 2.5 billion USD in the construction of the third terminal at Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport, 1.98 billion in the Bangabandhu Railway Bridge and 1.2 billion in the Dhaka Elevated Expressway project, as well as in multi-billion dollar infrastructure projects.

In this regard, the CEO of Standard Chartered Bank, Naser Ezaz said, “I am delighted that our bank’s relentless efforts to achieve excellence have been recognized again. We would like to thank all our colleagues, clients, regulators and the wider ecosystem for making this achievement possible.”

It may be mentioned that Bangladesh Bank has recognized Standard Chartered Bank as the highest spending international bank in CSR in 2020. In the same year, the bank won 25 international awards for its contribution to Bangladesh’s prosperity.
