As a lead bank, Bank Asia Limited organized School Banking Conference 2023 in Rangpur on 18 March 2023 in association with Bangladesh Bank. Mr. Md. Anwarul Islam, Executive Director, Bangladesh Bank, Rangpur Office, inaugurated the conference at Zila Parishad Community Center, Rangpur, as the Chief Guest. Mr. Muhammad Jamal Uddin, Director (Administration), Bangladesh Bank, Rangpur Office, Mr. Md. Jahangir Alam, Joint Director, Bangladesh Bank, Dhaka, Mr. Md. Enayet Hossain, District Education Officer, Rangpur, were the special guests in the conference which was presided over by Mr. Quazi Mortuza Ali, a Senior Vice President of Bank Asia.
Earlier the conference, about 400 students from different educational institutions of the country’s northern region participated in a colorful rally. A total of 44 banks, operating in Rangpur district, associated with the conference as partners.
The main objective of the conference was to let the students know about savings, creating savings mentality and growing up with a positive view of savings through school banking program.
