Hatil, Bangladesh’s leading furniture brand, continues to expand its business in the Indian market. Following this, they opened a new outlet in Guwahati, the largest city in the state of Assam, on June 13, 2022. This is Hatil’s 28th outlet in India to date. So, the article talks about Hatil Continues to Expand Its Business in India.
Indian actress, filmmaker, and social activist Aimee Baruah was the Chief Guest at the inauguration of Hatil’s outlet in Guwahati. Chairman and Managing Director of Hatil, Selim H. Rahman, and Director of Finance and Accounts, Mizanur Rahman, were also present. The event was hosted by Guwahati sales center managing partners Keisham Ranjan Singh and Deepak Ranjan Singh.
The 4,500-square-foot outlet in Guwahati has a vast collection of modern, aesthetically designed furniture for bedrooms, dining, and living rooms manufactured by Hatil Bangladesh. The sales center’s franchise partner is K3 Horizon. Many buyers arrived on the day of the opening of the new outlet. Most of the buyers are interested to see the different furniture of Hatil. Hatil ensured that furniture worth around four lakh rupees were sold on the first day of the inauguration.
Mr. Selim said India is one of the largest furniture markets in the world. There is more competition. Along with local companies, brands from Italy, China, Vietnam, and Cambodia are in a strong position in the market. If Bangladesh Government takes the initiative to bring bonded warehouse facility for the import of raw materials in the duty-free facility, reduce import duty on raw materials to a reasonable level and reduce business costs, it would be better. In that case, it will be competitive with furniture-producing countries.
Hatil’s factory now produces furniture with state-of-the-art equipment, including automated robotics. They have 72 outlets in different districts of Bangladesh. So far, they have opened 26 outlets in various states of India, including Mizoram, Manipur, West Bengal, Jharkhand, Maharashtra, Punjab, Haryana, Chandigarh, Jammu, and Kashmir. In addition, there are two outlets in Thimphu and Bhutan. Hatil also exports its products to Canada, the United States, Australia, the Middle East, the United Arab Emirates, Saudi Arabia, and various European countries.
