Mukesh Ambani Drawn Nil Salary For Second Consecutive Year

India’s richest man Mukesh Ambani has not received a salary from his company for two consecutive years. He took this decision as the ongoing pandemic hit businesses and economies worldwide. Reliance Industries Limited has disclosed this information in its annual report for the financial year 2020-21. So, Mukesh Ambani Drawn Nil Salary For Second Consecutive Year.

Mukesh Ambani is the Chairman and Managing Director of the multinational company. It is also known that the salary of the executive directors of Reliance has decreased during this time. According to a report, Mr. Ambani announced in June 2020 not to take any remuneration for that financial year when the COVID-19 situation became evident. This decision remains in force in the next financial year as well. In other words, he is not taking any economic benefits from the company for two consecutive years.

Ambani’s salary was Rs. 15 crore from the 2008-09 financial year, which remained the same for the next 11 years. However, earlier, he used to get a salary of Rs. 24 crores a year. Mukesh Ambani’s wife, Nita Ambani, is also a Director at Reliance.

The report also informed that the salary of other Executive Directors of Reliance has decreased in the pre-Covid period. Executive Director PMS Prasad was drawing a compensation of Rs. 11.99 crore in FY 2020-21, which has come down to Rs. 11.89 crore. Mr. Pawan Kumar Kapil’s salary has decreased from Rs. 4.24 crore to Rs. 4.22 crore.
