Toyota is withdrawing 4,60,000 vehicles from the US market. The Japanese carmaker has announced a move to fix a software bug. There has been a problem with introducing an electronic stability control system in these vehicles of the company. Therefore, Toyota Withdraws 4.6 Lakh Faulty Cars.
Toyota says that in rare cases, the software cannot automatically switch the system to on mode when the vehicles are turned on. As a result, the electronic stability control system may remain closed. Instead, the system uses computers to brake individually to help the driver control the vehicle.
The move includes Toyota’s 2020 to 2022 model year Venza, Mirai, RAV4 Hybrid, RAV4 Prime, Niena Hybrid, and Highlander Hybrid models. In addition, Lexus-branded LS 500H, LX600H, NX350, and NX450H-plus cars are also being recalled. To solve this problem, dealers will update the software on the skid control computer. Toyota also said that they will notify car owners in mid-June.
