Bank Asia Ltd. recently signed an agreement for a Syndicated Unsecured Term Loan Facility for USD 25 million arranged by Bank Muscat, Sultanate of Oman. It is the first SOFR-based Syndication Term Loan facility in Bangladesh. The agreement will allow Bank Asia Ltd., with long-term funding, to help exporters and importers to access reliable and reasonable terms and conditions for trade finance. In addition, it will ensure liquidity and stability to the trade finance system.
Md. Arfan Ali, President & Managing Director of Bank Asia Ltd., and Mr. Ahmed Faqir Al Bulushi, Chief Banking Officer of Bank Muscat, joined the signing ceremony, which was held virtually. Mr. Md. Zia Arfin, SEVP, Head of Int’l Division, Bank Asia Ltd., and other senior officials of the two organizations also joined.
