“Television Reporters Unity of Bangladesh (TRUB) Music Award” was organized in a grand manner at the Dhaka Club of the capital on March 22.
In the event, National Press Club General Secretary Shyamal Dutta, National Musician Ferdous Ara and other dignitaries of the media and music world were present and awards were given to artists and artists in various important categories of music and mass media. New generation songwriters, composers and artists were felicitated at this event.
Most Promising Lyricist Award was given to Dr. Raiatun Tehrin at the said event. Dr. Raiatun Tehrin is a veteran journalist, writer, and lyricist. Daughter of late Abul Omrah Muhammad Fakhruddin, the father of the song “O Amar Bangla Ma Tor Akul Kara Rooper Sudhay” and journalist, writer, freedom fighter, former news editor of Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha (BASS) and her mother Mumtaz Bilkis was the former president of Bangladesh Women Journalist Forum.
While expressing his feelings after receiving the award, she first remembered Almighty Allah and tearfully said that this award will inspire her to take forward the ideals and talent of her parents in her writing.
Popular music Director Shahriar Alam Marcel received the award of Most Promising Music Director in the ceremony. Expressing his feelings, he said, “Thanks to Almighty Allah that I have received recognition for my work. As a musician or artist, any honor gives me a lot of pride and encouragement to do good work in the future.” He also said, “With the help of family, I have been able to come so far today.”
In the cultural part of the program, the nominated Eid song “Eid Mubarak” written by Dr. Raiatun Tehrin in the tune of Marcel, was performed by both of them in the audience. Bangladesh Film Journalists Association (Bachsas) President Raju Alim along with important people supported the event.
