Unemployment is increasing at a geometric rate due to the pandemic. The economic slowdown has cast a shadow across the world, from manufacturers to consumers. It is time for the educated youth to think of something new with a sense of responsibility towards society.
We have to get out of the tendency to find jobs and create the mentality of being an entrepreneur. Skilled entrepreneurs are in control of almost every single situation. With their innovative energy, they adopt and use new development techniques in the production process.
Entrepreneurs are getting excellent business success with their strength, courage, and hard work. As a result, the size of the country’s economy is changing. They are creating new jobs silently but intensively. We all know a big part of employment is self-employment. In the case of self-employment, a person starts working thinking of his own career. A self-employed person will become an entrepreneur only when he starts working for him as well as the idea of employment of a few more people in the society. Knowing there are risks, they go ahead and build an organization. In this way, the entrepreneurs create employment opportunities and contribute to the country’s economy with indomitable courage.
Entrepreneurs have been hit hardest by the Coronavirus outbreak. So they need to be given special care along with financial incentives. The great hope is that Bangladesh, like many developed countries, has taken some reasonable steps to protect the welfare of entrepreneurs. In 2030, the working population of Bangladesh will increase to 12 crores and 98 lakhs, which is 70 percent of the total population. So from now on, we have to find a way to become an entrepreneur without looking for a job. The prerequisite for being an entrepreneur is to cultivate a creative mindset within yourself.
The government should stand by the entrepreneurs with policy cooperation. First of all, in which it is possible to create entrepreneurs, an accurate consensus survey should be done. On the basis of this, government and non-government organizations have to take up the program of creating and developing entrepreneurs. We have to arrange training all over the country. Then the entrepreneurs have to provide loans according to simple rules. Finally, taxes have to be relaxed for them.
This February issue is a tribute to our brave entrepreneurs. Stay safe, stay healthy! Happy reading!
