Suez Canal sets record for daily ship crossings. About eighty-nine ships passed through this canal in Egypt on August 9, 2022. The vessel transported 52 lakh tons of goods on the day. Suez Canal Authority Chairman Mr. Osama Rabea stated that a total of 44 ships had taken a net 3 million tons of goods from the northern side of the canal. On the other hand, 45 ships with a yield of 2.2 million tons of goods crossed the canal from the south. Earlier, Osama Rabeya said that the income of the canal reached 704 million dollars in July. 

The revenue of the canal is 32.4 percent higher than the same month last year. At that time, the revenue of the canal was 53.18 million dollars. The Egyptian canal is the fastest shipping route between Europe and Asia. Moreover, it is one of the Egyptian government’s leading foreign exchange sources.
