Mr. Khan was a sub-divisional officer of Habiganj during the Bangladesh Liberation War when he decided to join the war. Later he served as an official of the Mujibnagar Government. After independence, he rejoined the civil service and reached the highest post of Cabinet Secretary. In the meanwhile, he also worked as a university teacher. Towards the end of 2006, he became one of the advisers of the Caretaker Government led by President Iajuddin Ahmed.

Mr. Sheikh was a British politician and businessman. He was formerly an insurance broker and underwriter. Lord Sheikh was appointed a life peer in 2006 after he was nominated by Michael Howard MP, then Leader of the Conservative Party. He founded and Co-Chaired the All Party Parliamentary Group for Islamic and Ethical Finance in the British Parliament. He was co-chair of the APPG on Turkey and the Prevention of Genocide and Crimes Against Humanity. He was also a Vice-chair of the APPGs in Bangladesh, Ethiopia, Nepal, Kazakhstan and Tajikistan.

Salvatore Biasco was an Italian economist and politician. He is a member of the Democratic Party of the left, he served in the Chamber of Deputies from 1996 to 2001. He graduated from Trinity College. His most renowned books include Market and Institutions in Economic Development: Essays in Honour of Paulo Sylos Labini. Indeed, he will always be remembered.
